Marcos Martinez Garcia
Marcos is the Infrastructure PPP specialist based in London with more than 15 years of experience in PPP projects. Marcos is focused on PPP transactions in transport, social infrastructure and environment. He applies a diverse and unique background that couples public and private experience at different stages, together with comprehensive project finance expertise, to focus on the bankability of PPP projects in developing countries. Since joining EBRD, he has participated in different PPP projects at different phases. He is involved in the preparation of projects ahead of procurement as well as the financing. Some of the projects include the Heath programme in Turkey, Belgrade Solid Waste, the M-10 highway in Belarus, or water and port projects in Egypt.
His previous experience includes five years with Spanish investors in managing projects during procurement until financial close across Europe, North and South America. He also worked at Deloitte for five years both in Canada and Spain.
Marcos holds a Master degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Infrastructure Finance.
