Viktor Andonov

Energy Adviser to the Prime Minister of Republic of North Macedonia

Viktor Andonov is Energy Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Government of Republic of Macedonia starting September 2020, after previously he worked as Special Advisor for Energy to the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs D-r Kocho Angjushev in the Government of Republic of North Macedonia since july 2018. He is focused on implementation of the energy policy in the Country, coordination of the relevant institution in their implementation of energy legislation according the new Law on Energy and new secondary legislation.

Viktor Andonov has more than 13 years of experience in the energy sector in North Macedonia, from which 10 years in the energy department in Ministry of Economy, on various issues such as investment in energy projects in the country, strategic energy planning, energy statistics and energy balances. During the work in the Ministry of Economy he actively participated on various working groups in Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna, especialy in security of supply working group and in energy statistics working group as national coordinator for energy statistics.

Viktor Andonov was one of the few people in the last 13 years that was included in more than 20 procedures for awarding concessions and agreements for public private partnership for construction of small hydro power plants, big hydro power plants and photovoltaic plants. He was project coordinator for designing and conducting the first transparent procedures for granting premium tariffs for construction of photovoltaic plants and he is responsible person for the ongoing tenders for PPP with ESM for construction of 2x40 MW photovoltaic plant in Oslomej and the PPP Project for construction of Pump Storage Hydro Power Plant Cebren on Crna River. 

Viktor Andonov has MSc and BSc in Energy on Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje.
